Yesterday the Norwegian team arrived the beautiful place Papendal in Arnhem, Nederland. We stay at the olympic training facility at the countryside. It is very quiet here, nothing else to do other then train and relax. And read my book in the sun. Maybe some karaoke?
The training facilities are very good. We do the boxing in a hall with a big ring and a lot of heavy bags. There is also a room for weight-lifting and both an indoor and outdoor running track. Today we just worked with the team of Nederland, tomorrow the English team will arrive.
This morning we were out running for 20 min at 7.00 AM. I had some pad work with Martin and then we had a good breakfast (they even served champagne and small eggs of chocolate, @ training camp I prefer the last).
Next session were at 10.30. We did 4 rounds of shadowbox, 4 rounds of bag work and 4 rounds of pads.
Then we trained again at 3.30. This session we had eight rounds of task sparring. Later this evening, after dinner, we will do some recovery training and then bed.

Hello!
This weekend I am fighting in the Norwegian Championship in Trondheim. We are three fighters from Oslo Boxing Club. Kristin (-60), me (Im boxing in 64) and Stian (-64). In -64 there are 5 boxers and I won the semifinal today (30 something – 4) against a girl from Stjørdal. The reason for me boxing in 64 is that Kristin from my club wanted to box in 60 and there is no reason for us to fight in the same weight category since we both want to bring gold home:) Tjohoo. Martin is here as coach and he is making us work out in between the fights so this is for sure a busy weekend. Been out eating sushi this evening and now me and Kristin is just watching tv from bed. Tomorrow we are going to box finales. Tjohoo! Looking forward to fight!

Lost the final against Sofia Ochigava 2-0. But it was an even fight. 0-0 first round, 0-0 second round and then she got one point in each of the next rounds. After the first round all I had in my head was: I can beat her, its working. It was not impossible.
I lost but Im happy that I managed to follow our tactic and I didnt lose focus.
Our tactic was to work in and out and use my speed to put pressure on her. I had to use my left the whole time so that she had to work and hopefully miss. My problems often with right-handed fighters is that I forget to use my left, and usually I start attacking from the wrong distance. I do feel that I didnt do that mistake in this match but I should have put in more effort when I came in. At the same time you always have to consider how much chances to take in there because it is so important not to get hit yourself to.
Pic 1) the Norwegian team; Max, me and Hagen, pic 2) Me, Ochigava and the Hungarian girl. Got a bag full of rubbish that I can give to my team mates in Oslo Boxing Club (hehe)

Won the fight today 2-4. Started out a little bit slow in the first round. She was kind of hard to figure out. She was taller then me, south paw and she wanted me to attack so she could counter me. Hard to find the right distance and at the same time i did not want to rush in. I was leading 1-0 after the first round. Max was a little bit frustrated that I didnt use my jab to get in. Started out better in 2nd round and was leading 3-1 when the bell rang. In the third and fourth round I was boxing better and I should have got some more points but I won the fight thats whats important. Tomorrow I will box against the Russian Sofya Ochigava. It will be a tuff match and I have nothing to loose. I look forward to fight such a good fighter and I will do my best to win.
Hagen lost his fight today 5-0 but he did a very good fight and the score should have been more even. Here he tries out a new hear look in a Czech shop. Tomorrow Max has to wear this when I win.
Max had to wear this hat because I won yesterday (even though it was a walkover).

Ingrid in bed wondering why, did she not want to fight me; is that a lie?
I hope today we will see more action or else I will get an physical reaction.
I have been training for this for so long, I want to beat someone up is that wrong?
Some of u must think its something wrong with my head, and that is true I am afraid.

Wish me luck this afternoon, I hope I will beat another Czech soon.
